White Rose Landscape Architecture Award

Landscape Architecture gets the recognition it deserves in RIBA Yorkshire White Rose Awards 2008

The Landscape Institute Yorkshire & Humber Branch Committee is delighted to announce that Landscape Architecture is to be given an award category in the 22nd RIBA Yorkshire 2008 White Rose Awards, which reward design excellence in architecture and the built environment in the Yorkshire region.   This new award, presented in partnership between the Yorkshire Branches of the LI and RIBA, will recognise excellence in public realm and communal space design.  It reflects the importance of public spaces in the architectural realm - landscape is the setting in which development takes place.

New LI Branch web sites coming soon! (June 2008)

The Landscape Institute has commissioned a study of all the Branch web sites and convened a Branch Forum (May 2008) to discuss a consistent Branch website design.  This is a very exciting opportunity for all of the Branches to have professionally designed sites, which will be kept up to date using a content management system, allowing non-techies to update the site. This ought to result in more and better updates.  We are currently waiting with great anticipation for the delivery of the new designs.  They could look something like this!  Excellent!
